Brief Description: Variable frequency drives allow a large range of speed, detection of unbalanced loads, improved power factor and inrush currents. This course is intended to provide an introduction to PRINCIPLES OF DRIVE TECHNOLOGY- VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVE, concepts and terminologies, and not implementation of knowledge and skills. It will also give the student a solid, basic understanding of the working principle of VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVES.
